Tahini Chai Date Energy Balls

Tahini is a gift and full of health benefits: The sesame-seed paste is rich in antioxidants and full of vitamins and minerals, like magnesium which helps us sleep! Research suggests it can also reduce inflammation in the body, making it a great addition to your diet. The hint of cardamom with the other spices give is a lovely chai flavour but feel free to make them without the spices! 


    • 1/3 cup of raw cashews
    • 1  1/4 cups dates, soaked in 1/4 cup warm water
    • 1/4 cup tahini
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
    • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
    • 1/2 tsp sea salt
    • Warm water 
    • dried coconut or sesame seeds 
    • Optional: 1/4 cup dried Cranberries or Blueberries. 

      Coating options: coconut, sesame seeds, raw cacoa, Matcha. 



Soak the dates in warm water, draining the liquid before use. Place all the ingredients in a food processor and buzz, scarping sides of food processor every 30 seconds, until a sticky dough is formed. Add dried fruit as a treat! Roll into 2 inch balls, and roll in coconut, sesame or cocoa.
