Cherry and vanilla go together like Lennon and McCartney, Drum and Bass, Beyonce and Jay-Z. The flavours complement each other, and when you look at the powerhouse protein kick this smoothie will provide, it will quickly become your go-to post workout pick-me-up.
I admittedly don’t do a lot of dairy, but I make an exception with Kefir and Greek Yogurt – both of which are full of probiotics. I have made this using several different brands of kefir and yogurt, and they are all equally delicious. The protein in Greek yogurt will fill you up and is a great post-workout fuel for your muscles; cherries are known to be anti-inflammatory, and help boost your immune system. Sour cherry juice is rammed with health benefits and is great for the immune system. It is also known to help with sleep is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and mineral and simply good for you.
In other words – this Smoothie has it all.
