Cherry and vanilla go together like Lennon and McCartney, Drum and Bass, Beyonce and Jay-Z. The flavours complement each other, and when you look at the powerhouse protein kick this smoothie will provide, it will quickly become your go-to post workout pick-me-up.
I admittedly don’t do a lot of dairy, but I make an exception with Kefir and Greek Yogurt – both of which are full of probiotics. I have made this using several different brands of kefir and yogurt, and they are all equally delicious. The protein in Greek yogurt will fill you up and is a great post-workout fuel for your muscles; cherries are known to be anti-inflammatory, and help boost your immune system. Sour cherry juice is rammed with health benefits and is great for the immune system. Â It is also known to help with sleep is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and mineral and simply good for you.Â
In other words – this Smoothie has it all.Â
