We need simple recipes when our sugar levels drop and when we need a quick pick me up. This recipe is it – and it is so versatile! I have made this with fresh strawberries at the end of berry season – delish – but also with frozen strawberries. This shake was delicious with coconut kefir, but one day I didn’t have any and used unsweetened vanilla almond milk and that worked too. The chia seeds really give it the texture you will love. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1/2 frozen banana OR omit an add 2 dates
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 cup coconut Kefir OR 1 cup non-dairy milk of choice + 2 ice cubes to thicken.
DIRECTIONS
- Mix all the ingredients together in a high speed blender and serve immediately
