I do not have a green thumb, but this year with Coronavirus I decided to plant things I thought I could actually grow – kale, lettuce, herbs. And I have been having so much fun being able to go to my garden and grab some kale for my smoothie in the morning.
If you want the bright green in a smoothie, you go for kale – green leafy or Dino kale, they both work well. One of my favourite smoothies also features the amazing anti-inflammatory pineapple and ginger. Enjoy this one all summer long, and double it to keep for later!
Smoothie Ingredients

- 2 cups of chopped kale
- ½ banana
- 1/2 cup pineapple
- 2 cups water
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 3-4 ice cubes
Instructions
Blend all ingredients together in a Vitamix for over a minute until well blended. Enjoy!
