Mango-Berry-Basil Smoothie

I literally cannot get enough of kefir smoothies at the moment. I find my own intestine sings whenever I drink a coconut kefir smoothie. Kefir is a highly probiotic fermented beverage that you can now buy dairy-free – I choose a Coconut Kefir and it is just as effective as regular kefir. I have also discovered you can make your own kefir – this recipe shows you how to do it

With all the basil growing in your garden, surely you want a delicious recipe that is good for you and a little different!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup frozen mango
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 frozen banana OR omit an add 2 dates
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup chopped. fresh basil.
  • 1 cup Kerif
  • 1 cup filetered water

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a high speed blender and serve immediately
