Fibre Rich Smoothie

We all need more fibre in our diet, and putting it into your smoothie is a great idea. Do not forgot to grind your flax seeds – if you leave the flax whole, it will simply pass through your system without you getting the essential Omega 3s that flax seeds provides. Pear is chock full of fibre. 

Smoothie Ingredients

    • 1 pear, diced 
    • 1 banana
    • 2 cups spinach or kale 
    • 1 tbsp ground flax seed 
    • 1 tsp cinnamon 
    • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
    • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
    • 3-4 ice cubes.


Blend all ingredients together in a Vitamix, starting on slow and revving up to high. Leave running for two minutes for a smooth consistency.
