Pear Cherry Smoothie

Pear and cherry are two flavors that go really well together and are both fantastic for your health and your whole system. Pear is high in fiber which will be one of the biggest food trends we will see in 2020. This smoothie celebrates one of 2019’s biggest health trends for athletes – Tart sour cherry juice, which is proven to help with recovery. Sour cherry juice is rammed with health benefits and is great for the immune system.  It is also known to help with sleep is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and mineral and simply good for you. 

Smoothie Ingredients

    • 2 cups spinach
    • 1 stalk celery
    • 1 pear, ripened, chopped.
    • 8 oz tar sour cherry juice
    • ½ cup frozen cherries
    • ½ banana
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1 tbsp hemp hearts
    • Water to taste (depending on if you want the smoothie thin, thick or as a bowl. This, topped with fresh cherries, toasted almonds, and coconut, takes the whole thing to another level)


Blend all ingredients together in a Vitamix for over a minute until well blended. Enjoy!

If making a smoothie bowl:

Drizzle almond butter in the bottom of a ceramic bowl, add thickened smoothie bowl ingredients and top with 1/4 cup frozen cherries, thawed (with the juice) almonds and coconut and extra hemp seeds and another drizzle of almond butter if you are being decadent.
